The BBC reports that the brains of bullies are hard-wired to enjoy the infliction of pain on others.
As this is a trait they may be born with, presumably bullying is OK now (or at least, that's the argument used by the homosexual lobby).
Another way to account for this is the Catholic doctrine of Original Sin: we are inherently damaged due to a primeval catastrophe involving our first parents turning their backs, willfully, on God's grace. Makes more sense to me,

I must be a bully, but I don't enjoy everyone's pain, just that of those who won't (as opposed to can't) see reason :)
Now I have an excuse for giving ratbag pro-aborts, pro-sodomite, pro-fornication wing nuts a hard time.
Hmm.... not sure about enjoying even their pain, but it could be argued that if pain helps them to see sense now, it is a good thing - better for them and for others. But the track record of convincing people by the infliction of pain is fairly poor, I think.
Not necessarily physical harm ben, just the sort of discomfort a bout of truth gives someone who obstinately clings to error.
I'm all for that!
