I had similar feelings a while back about the Labour deputy leadership candidate Jon Cruddas who traded to a lesser degree on his Catholic upbringing but completely disagreed with the Church's teaching on homosexuality. Interestingly, the Universe newspaper omitted to mention that salient fact when touting him as a "Catholic".<BR/><BR/>Off-topic: congrats on your little tussle on Holy Smoke with TBW the other day - particularly amused that you squeezed an admission from that supporter of the spirit of Vatican II that he hadn't catually read the documents.
